Faux Finishes

Many faux finishes I have completed for clients can only be viewed adequately by seeing my sample boards. Please review the techniques I have applied in the past and as new products are introduced to the market, I offer those to my clients as well.

Softly rubbed glazing
(a most popular subtle technique)
Striping
Venetian plaster
Polished plaster
Shimmer stone
Stenciling
(2-D and 3-D)
Custom hand cut stencils
Lettering
Antiquing
Ragging on and off
Sponging
Strie
Dragging
French glaze

Stippling
Suede texture paint
Brush
Faux stone:
(i.e., marble, granite, lime stone)
Faux wood
Faux metal
Stucco
Linen
Denim
Raw silk
Cheese cloth
Tissue paper
Combing
Crackle

Some of these techniques can be used together (i.e., 3-D stenciling over Shimmer Stone; glazing over stucco). A decorative accent applied over a faux finish is also an appealing look and I have sample boards to show you the result.
